Tamara Mariam Dawit is an Ethiopian-Canadian filmmaker. Her most recent film is the award-winning documentary Finding Sally which premiered in 2020 at Hot Docs. Tamara was the 2021 winner of the Doc Institute Vanguard Award and the 2021 TIFF Talent Accelerator. In addition to producing Tamara works as an advisor in the screen sector on programming and policies to address equity and inclusion in both Canada and East Africa. She is presently the Strategic Lead, Equity and Inclusion at the Canada Media Fund.
