SHELLEY MACDOUGALL
Manager of Programming, Central Region

Shelley MacDougall brings with her more than 20 years of experience in the film and television industry to APTN’s Programming Department. She began her career in Vancouver 1997 in the production office and later moved into business affairs where she specialized in entertainment clearances, permissions, and product placement. Shelley coordinated business affairs on over a dozen feature films and television series, working with both major studios as well as for a variety of independent film and documentary companies. She also spent many years as a senior script reader and research specialist for a B.C. script clearance company. Over the past two decades, she has worked in almost every area of the industry from development and production to post-production, and most recently, broadcasting.
In addition to her entertainment experience, Shelley has a Bachelor of Arts, a background in Theatre, and is certified to teach English as a Second Language. She traces her Scottish-Metis ancestry from the Orkney Islands to Manitoba’s Red River settlement.
Shelley joined APTN in 2015 as Programming Coordinator for the Central Region, and now fulfils the role of Manager of Programming for a 2018 temporary contract.
