Rod Bruinooge

Rod Bruinooge is the Interim CEO and Film Commissioner at Manitoba Film and Music. Rod is a Metis entrepreneur and has worked as a technology executive, game developer, filmmaker and politician. Rod is a member of ACTRA and is active in the local arts community. In the early 2000s Rod launched the Winnipeg International Film Festival. He also had the privilege of working with Pink Floyd on a documentary he produced in 2004. Mr. Bruinooge served in the Canadian Parliament for 10 years including in the role of Secretary for Indigenous Affairs as well as being a Member of the Standing Committee on Culture and Heritage.
