PIERRE-Alexandre Labelle

Pierre-Alexandre Labelle studied at McGill University in Montreal (B.comm 2000) and moved to France to work as a derivatives trader for Cargill (2001-2004). In 2005, he became interested in Film distribution, and launched one of the first independent VoD platforms in France still in operation today. In 2007, he also launched an online market for European rights-holders and VoD platforms, which was acquired by the Independent Pan-European Digital Association in 2009. In 2010, he co-founded Under The Milky Way, one of the leading international digital distributors of films, where he is primarily responsible for international business development.

Pierre-Alexandre Labelle a fait ses études à l’université Mcgill (B.comm 2000) et s’installe ensuite en France en 2001 pour travailler en tant que “trader” de produits dérivés pour la multinationale Cargill (2001-2004). Il s’intéresse ensuite à la distribution de films et créé une des premières plateformes de VàD en France (2005-2008). En parallèle, il lance en 2007 une plateforme collaborative pour les échanges professionnels autour de la VàD acquise par The Independent Pan-European Digital Association (IPEDA) en 2009. Il s’Associe dans la création d’Under The Milky Way en 2010 où il dirige principalement le développement des affaires à l’international.
