Mehernaz Lentin is the National Director of Feature Film (English) at Telefilm Canada. She brings over 20 years of experience in the Canadian film and television industry, including her tenure as Senior Director of CBC Films. At CBC, she oversaw funding and pre-licensing for Canadian features, supporting over 50 films that reflect a range of perspectives through character-driven storytelling. Prior to CBC, Lentin worked as an independent producer, with credits including Portrait of a Serial Monogamist (2015), Fall (2014), and multiple collaborations with Deepa Mehta. She has also served on juries for the Canadian Screen Awards, Gemini Awards, and Telefilm’s Screenwriters Assistance Programme.
