As Director, Edwina Follows is responsible for the commissioning, development and production of independent programming for Discovery and its related networks (Animal Planet, Discovery World, Investigation Discovery and Discovery Science).

Under her leadership as Director of Commissioning andProductionDiscovery has premiered a record-breaking number of Canadian shows contributing significantly to Discovery’s ranking as #1 Entertainment Specialty Channel ( A18-49 & 25-54 Prime)

Edwina oversees an annual slate of more than 300 hours of original programming, including some of the channels most successful programs (Highway Thru Hell, Canada’s Worst Driver, Coldwater Cowboys). Playback magazine recently voted Discovery Canada, “Channel of the Year” based on the strength of its original production.

Previously, Edwina lead EPI, Discovery’s in-house production company to become an award-winning producer of high-quality and critically-acclaimed documentary series and specials, including Queen Mary II, Mighty Ships, Nerve Centre, Forensic Factor, and Mighty Planes – programs which have achieved success not only on Discovery Channel, but in markets around the world.
