David Hardy

David Hardy is Vice President, Sustainability & Stakeholder Affairs at William F. White International Inc. This role provides the perfect nexus for engagement on a wide range of issues germane to the film and television production sector with industry stakeholders as well as governments at all levels in each jurisdiction in which WFW operates.
Long a passionate advocate for combatting global climate change, David has been an active leader in working towards a more sustainable production industry. David is responsible for all sustainability initiatives at William F. White International and is primed for the ultimate goal of building a carbon-neutral business.
Prior ten years prior to joining WFW, David held the position of Business Agent at the Toronto-based film technicians’ Union NABET 700 CEP (NABET 700-M UNIFOR) where he was an integral member of the management team. From 1995-2001 David was a freelance production coordinator and Charter Member of IATSE Local 411.
Outside of the day to day, David sits on the Toronto Film, Television and Digital Media Board, and is active with both the MPPIA and FilmOntario Government Relations Committees. David is particularly proud to represent William F. White International as a founding member of both the Reel Green and Ontario Green Screen Advisory Panels, where the goal is nothing short of fundamentally changing the way film and television production is made in Canada and beyond.
An avid consumer of film and television content, he is the father of three daughters and a partner to a professional orchestral musician.
