CHARLOTTE ENGEL

Based in Toronto, Charlotte Engel has spent over 25 years working in the film and television industry. She cut her teeth working in the Indie Canadian film industry, working on the films like “Highway 61” and “The Adjuster”. Later on she moved on to broadcasting, working for CHUM, CTV and Bell Media.

After departing Bell Media in 2011, Engel set up her own production company, Rock Yenta Productions. After 5 successful years of doc making, Engel got an offer she could not refuse, to oversee a documentary series on CBC.

Charlotte currently looks after CBC Docs POV, a point of view documentary series that airs on CBC’s main network on Sunday’s at 9 pm. She looks for compelling Canadian stories that will engage the nation and get people talking.
