Charlotte Engel currently is the Executive in Charge of Production for the CBC documentary series CBC Docs POV.
Having just completed its fifth season, CBC Docs POV (formerly Firsthand) is known for strong character driven documentaries. They are transformative, intimate and enlightening.
Prior to CBC, Engel was an independent producer. Through her company Rock Yenta Productions, Engel recently co- produced “Puffin Patrol” for CBC’s “The Nature of Things” and executive produced “Fractured Land” for documentary and Knowledge Network. In 2013, she co-produced Mugshot” for TVO and Knowledge Network and produced “Carpe Diem: A Fishy Tale” for CBC’s “The Nature of Things”.
In the past Engel has sat on the Boards of imagineNATIVE, DOC and Hot Docs.
