Brendon Sawatzky is a producer known for HOW IT ENDS (NETFLIX 2018) with Forest Whitaker and the Best Canadian First Feature INERTIA (TIFF 2001). He is the former Director of Programming at the National Screen Institute and a former producer with the National Film Board of Canada – Prairie Region. Currently he is an instructor in the Creative Arts Dept. at RRC Polytech and recently the Director of Industry Programming for the Whistler Film Festival (WFF). He produced the Borsos Award-winning CINEMA OF SLEEP (2021), and PERCY (2020) starring Christopher Walken based on the true story of Saskatchewan farmer Percy Schmeiser. He is currently completing post-production on the feature documentary GEGO MAWIKAK (WE WEREN’T ALLOWED TO CRY) on the effects of Residential Schools on Indigenous communities for Pine Creek First Nation in Manitoba.
