AMBER-SEKOWAN DANIELS
General Manager at Women In View
Amber-Sekowan Daniels is an Oji-Cree storyteller originally from Winnipeg and a band member of Garden Hill First Nation.
Amber is the current General Manager of Women in View, a national not-for-profit dedicated to parity and inclusion in Canadian screen based media. She is the co-author of the 2019 Women in View On Screen Report. The Report tracks the employment of women-identifying key creatives in publicly funded Canadian film and television. The study includes detailed data for Indigenous women and women of colour throughout.
As a comedian and screenwriter, Amber has been featured in the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Oddblock Comedy Festival and on CBC’s The Debaters. She is currently on a team in development on a comedy series with Bell Media and Buffalo Gal pictures.
