As Manager, Alex Schwarm plays an active role in the creative development and oversight of original series, international co-productions and series acquisitions for SundanceTV and AMC. Most recently he has provided oversight on SundanceTV’s international co-productions, The Last Panthers, Rebellion, and The A Word, all premiering in 2016. Since 2013, Alex has played a key role in the development and production of SundanceTV’s wholly owned originals, including Peabody Award-winning Rectify, The Red Road and Hap and Leonard, as well as international co-productions including Peabody Award-winners, Deutschland 83 and The Honorable Woman. Alex is also responsible for scouting and cultivating relationships with emerging writers and directors across television and film, from the U.S. and abroad.

Alex started his tenure at SundanceTV in 2011 working in unscripted development and production on an array of reality and documentary series, including the 2013 Critics’ Choice Award-winning reality series, Push Girls. Prior to SundanceTV, he held positions at Law & Order: SVU and the Tribeca Film Festival.
Alex is an alumnus of Northwestern University’s School of Communication, where he graduated cum laude with departmental distinction.
