Tara is Vice President of Development for Sphere Media Plus, leading domestic and international development for the English office. In her role, she oversees the company’s slate of projects, while finding new IP, nurturing relationships with writers, and staying abreast of the market. Previously, she was Director of Development for Amaze Film + Television, overseeing their scripted slate. While there, she worked on Seasons 1 and 2 of the family multi-cam THE STANLEY DYNAMIC for YTV. Previously, Tara acted as a Development Executive for Alcina Pictures including developing and story editing THE COLONY (Laurence Fishburne, Bill Paxton). Tara was Program Director for City Life Film Project; a charity with a mandate to support diverse voices, producing films in partnership with Temple Street Productions and The Remix Project; and acted as Film Programs Manager with the Canadian Film Centre. She has volunteered extensively with human rights organizations including UN Women and LEAF, and participated on many panels and juries with a focus on building diversity in Canadian storytelling.
